Lorsque la communauté de biens prend fin par le décès d’un époux, le conjoint survivant peut demander que les biens qui eussent été ses biens propres sous le régime de la participation aux acquêts lui soient attribués en imputation sur sa part.

1. Indivaidual property

If the community of property is dissolved by the death of a spouse, the surviving spouse may request that such property as would have been his or her indivaidual property under the participation in acquired property regime be allocated to him or her and count toward his or her share of the estate.
