1 Any person who places pre-packaged foodstuffs on the market must provide purchasers with the following information about the foodstuffs:
2 The Federal Council may specify exceptions to the indication provided on the country of production and the ingredients in the case of processed products.
3 The specific designation may be accompanied by other designations provided these do not mislead consumers.
4 The specific designation may be omitted provided the nature of the foodstuff is obvious.
5 On request, it must be possible to provide the same indications about foodstuffs placed on the market without packaging as for pre-packaged foodstuffs.
1 Chiunque immette sul mercato derrate alimentari preimballate deve fornire all’acquirente le seguenti indicazioni sulla derrata alimentare:
2 Il Consiglio federale può stabilire eccezioni per quanto riguarda l’indicazione del Paese di produzione e gli ingredienti dei prodotti trasformati.
3 Con la denominazione specifica possono essere utilizzate altre designazioni, sempre che queste non ingannino i consumatori.
4 Quando la natura della derrata alimentare è facilmente riconoscibile, si può rinunciare alla denominazione specifica.
5 Le indicazioni fornite per le derrate alimentari preimballate devono poter essere fornite, su richiesta, anche per le derrate alimentari immesse sul mercato sfuse.
