1 Everyone is obliged to provide the authorities with the information required to enforce this Act and, if necessary, to conduct or acquiesce in the conduct of enquiries.
2 The Federal Council or the cantons may order that registers be kept on air pollution, noise and vibrations, waste and its disposal, and the types, amounts and assessment of substances and organisms, and that such registers be stored and made available to the authorities on request.103
3 The Federal Council may order that information be provided on substances and organisms that may present a threat to the environment or which are being put into circulation for the first time.104

1 Ognuno è tenuto a fornire alle autorità le informazioni necessarie all’esecuzione della presente legge e, se necessario, a svolgere o a tollerare indagini.
2 Il Consiglio federale o i Cantoni possono ordinare che siano allestiti repertori con dati sull’inquinamento atmosferico, sui rumori e sulle vibrazioni, sui rifiuti e sul loro smaltimento nonché sul genere, sulla quantità e sulle proprietà di sostanze e organismi, che tali repertori siano conservati e che siano trasmessi alle autorità che ne fanno richiesta.103
3 Il Consiglio federale può ordinare che siano forniti dati sulle sostanze o sugli organismi che possono minacciare l’ambiente o che vengono messi in commercio per la prima volta.104
