Die Bundesversammlung der Schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft,
gestützt auf die Artikel 74 Absatz 1, 104 Absätze 2 und 3 Buchstabe b, 118 Absatz 2 Buchstabe a und 120 Absatz 2 der Bundesverfassung1,2
in Ausführung des Übereinkommens vom 5. Juni 19923 über die Biologische Vielfalt
und des Protokolls von Cartagena vom 29. Januar 20004 über die biologische
Sicherheit zum Übereinkommen über die biologische Vielfalt,
nach Einsicht in die Botschaft des Bundesrates vom 1. März 20005
und in den Bericht der Kommission für Wissenschaft, Bildung und Kultur
des Ständerates vom 30. April 20016,7
beschliesst:

The Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation,
based on Articles 74 paragraph 1, 104 paragraphs 2 and 3 letter b, 118 paragraph 2 letter a and 120 paragraph 2 of the Federal Constitution1,2
in implementation of the Convention of 5 June 19923 on Biological Diversity and the Cartagena Protocol of 29 January 20004 on Biosafety to the Convention on Biodiversity,
and having considered the Dispatch of the Federal Council dated 1 March 20005
and the Report of the Council of States’ Committee for Science, Education and Culture dated 30 April 20016,7
decrees:
