1 Die Kantone sorgen für die Revitalisierung von Gewässern. Sie berücksichtigen dabei den Nutzen für die Natur und die Landschaft sowie die wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen, die sich aus der Revitalisierung ergeben.
2 Sie planen die Revitalisierungen und legen den Zeitplan dafür fest. Sie sorgen dafür, dass diese Planung bei der Richt- und Nutzungsplanung berücksichtigt wird. Für einen Verlust an Fruchtfolgeflächen ist nach den Vorgaben der Sachplanung des Bundes nach Artikel 13 des Raumplanungsgesetzes vom 22. Juni 197935 Ersatz zu leisten.

1 The cantons shall ensure that waters are rehabilitated. In doing so, they take account of the benefits to nature and the landscape as well as the economic consequences of the rehabilitation.
2 They shall plan the rehabilitation measures and specify the time schedule therefor. They shall ensure that these plans are taken into account in the structure and land use planning. In the event of a loss of arable land, this must be compensated for as specified in the federal sectoral plan in accordance with Article 13 of the Spatial Planning Act of 22 June 197935.
