IV. Entry in the commercial register
1. Right and duty
1 A person operating a trading, manufacturing or other type of commercial business is obliged to have it entered in the commercial register for the place in which its head office is located.
2 A person operating a business under a business name for which entry in the commercial register is not compulsory has the right to have its business name entered in the commercial register for the place in which its head office is located.

D. Numéro AVS et numéro personnel
1 Les autorités du registre du commerce utilisent systématiquement le numéro AVS pour l’identification des personnes physiques.
2 Elles ne communiquent le numéro AVS qu’à d’autres services et institutions qui en ont besoin pour accomplir leurs tâches légales en relation avec le registre du commerce et qui sont habilités à l’utiliser de manière systématique.
3 Les personnes physiques inscrites dans la base de données centrale des personnes se voient en outre attribuer un numéro personnel non signifiant.
