A. Reference to provisions governing purchase

The rules governing contracts of sale also apply to contracts of exchange in the sense that each party to the exchange is treated as seller in respect of the object promised by him and as buyer in respect of the object promised to him.

Les règles de la vente s’appliquent au contrat d’échange, en ce sens que chacun des copermutants est traité comme vendeur quant à la chose qu’il promet et comme acheteur quant à la chose qui lui est promise.
