Art. 21 Production and use

(Art. 24 ForA)

1 The cantons shall guarantee the supply of appropriate suitable forest reproductive material.

2 The competent cantonal forest authority shall select the forests stands, from which forest reproductive material may be obtained. It shall notify the seed stands to the FOEN.

3 It shall control the commercial and industrial production of seeds and plant parts and issues certificates of origin.

4 Only forest reproductive material of certified origin may be used for forestry purposes.

5 The FOEN shall advise the cantons about:

a.
the production, supply and use of forest reproductive material;
b.
the safeguarding of genetic diversity.

6 It keeps a register of the seed stands and a register of the genetic reserves.

Art. 21 Production et utilisation

(art. 24)

1 Les cantons assurent l’approvisionnement du matériel forestier de reproduction appropriée.

2 L’autorité forestière cantonale compétente choisit les peuplements forestiers qui fourniront le matériel forestier de reproduction (peuplements semenciers). Elle en informe l’OFEV.

3 Elle contrôle la production à titre commercial de semences et parties de plantes et établit les certificats de provenance.

4 Seul le matériel de reproduction de provenance attestée peut être utilisé à des fins forestières.

5 L’OFEV conseille les cantons s’agissant de:

a.
production, approvisionnement et utilisation du matériel forestier de reproduction;
b.
garantie de la diversité génétique.

6 Il tient un cadastre des peuplements semenciers et un cadastre des réserves génétiques.
