1 At the FOEN's request, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) shall check whether the obligations under Articles 5–7 are being met in respect of the import of timber and wood products.
2 If there is any suspicion of any violation, the FOCBS has the right to detain the goods. In this case, it shall call in the FOEN. The FOEN shall carry out further investigations and take the necessary action.
3 The FOEN may request the FOCBS to provide the details needed to enforce this Ordinance contained in customs declarations.
1 Das Bundesamt für Zoll und Grenzsicherheit (BAZG) kontrolliert auf Verlangen des BAFU, ob bei der Einfuhr von Holz- und Holzerzeugnissen die Pflichten nach den Artikeln 5–7 eingehalten werden.
2 Besteht Verdacht auf eine Widerhandlung, so ist das BAZG berechtigt, die Ware zurückzuhalten. In diesem Fall zieht es das BAFU bei. Dieses nimmt die weiteren Abklärungen vor und trifft die erforderlichen Massnahmen.
3 Das BAFU kann vom BAZG die zum Vollzug dieser Verordnung erforderlichen Angaben aus den Zollanmeldungen verlangen.
