Art. 18 Verarbeitete Lebensmittel

1 In der Sachbezeichnung dürfen die Bezeichnungen nach Artikel 2 Absatz 2 für verarbeitete Lebensmittel verwendet werden, sofern:

a.
das Lebensmittel die Anforderungen nach Artikel 16j erfüllt;
b.
mindestens 95 Gewichtsprozent der Zutaten landwirtschaftlichen Ursprungs biologisch sind.

2 Im Verzeichnis der Zutaten dürfen die Bezeichnungen nach Artikel 2 Absatz 2 verwendet werden, sofern das Lebensmittel die Anforderungen nach Artikel 16j Absätze 1 und 2 Buchstaben a, b und d–f erfüllt.

3 Im Verzeichnis der Zutaten und im selben Sichtfeld wie die Sachbezeichnung dürfen die Bezeichnungen nach Artikel 2 Absatz 2 verwendet werden, sofern:

a.
die Hauptzutat ein Erzeugnis der Jagd oder der Fischerei ist;
b.
alle anderen Zutaten landwirtschaftlichen Ursprungs ausschliesslich biologisch sind;
c.
das Lebensmittel die Anforderungen nach Artikel 16j Absätze 1 und 2 Buchstaben a, b und d–f erfüllt.

4 Im Verzeichnis der Zutaten ist anzugeben, welche Zutaten biologisch sind.

5 Wird eine Bezeichnung nach Absätze 2 oder 3 verwendet, so darf der Bezug auf die biologische Produktion nur im Zusammenhang mit den biologischen Zutaten gemacht werden. Im Verzeichnis der Zutaten muss der Gesamtanteil der biologischen Zutaten an den Zutaten landwirtschaftlichen Ursprungs angegeben werden.

6 Die Bezeichnungen und die Prozentangabe nach Absatz 5 müssen in derselben Farbe und Grösse und im selben Schrifttyp wie die übrigen Angaben im Verzeichnis der Zutaten erscheinen.

Art. 18 Processed foodstuffs

1 The indications laid down in Article 2 paragraph 2 may be used in the product description for processed foodstuffs provided that:

a.
the foodstuff meets the requirements laid down in Article 16j;
b.
at least 95 per cent by weight of the ingredients of agricultural origin were organically produced;

2 The indications laid down in Article 2 paragraph 2 may be used in the list of ingredients, provided that the foodstuff meets the requirements laid down in Article 16j paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 letters a, b and d–f.

3 The indications laid down in Article 2 paragraph 2 may be used in the list of ingredients and in the same field of vision as the product description provided that:

a.
the main ingredient is a game or fishing product;
b.
all other ingredients of agricultural origin are purely organic;
c.
the foodstuff meets the requirements laid down in Article 16j paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 letters a, b and d–f.

4 An indication is given in the list of ingredients which ingredients are organically produced.

5 If an indication is used in accordance with paragraph 2 or 3, the reference to organic production may only be made in connection with the organic ingredients. The total percentage of organic ingredients in the ingredients of agricultural origin must be given in the list of ingredients.

6 The indications and percentage information laid down in paragraph 5 must appear in the same colour and in the same size and style of lettering as the other information in the list of ingredients.
