1 Zweck der klinischen Audits ist es, sicherzustellen, dass medizinische Expositionen nach dem Stand von Wissenschaft und Technik gerechtfertigt und optimiert sind und sich die Qualität und das Ergebnis der Patientenversorgung kontinuierlich verbessern.
2 Klinische Audits beinhalten die systematische Überprüfung der patienten- und der personalbezogenen Prozesse von Verfahren mit ionisierender Strahlung in Diagnostik und Therapie und deren Vergleich mit dem Stand von Wissenschaft und Technik.
3 Das BAG kann bei der Bewilligungsinhaberin oder dem Bewilligungsinhaber für die folgenden medizinischen Strahlenanwendungen alle fünf Jahre ein klinisches Audit veranlassen:

2 Clinical audits involve systematically examining patient- and personnel-related processes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving ionising radiation, and comparing them with the current state of science and technology.
3 The FOPH may require the licence holder to undergo a clinical audit for the following medical radiation applications every five years:
