1 Wer Menschen Blut entnimmt, um es für Transfusionen oder zur Herstellung von Heilmitteln zu verwenden oder weiterzugeben, benötigt eine Betriebsbewilligung des Instituts.
2 Die Bewilligung wird erteilt, wenn:
3 Das Institut überprüft in einer Inspektion, ob die Bewilligungsvoraussetzungen erfüllt sind.
4 Betriebe wie Spitäler, welche Blut oder Blutprodukte nur lagern, brauchen eine Betriebsbewilligung der Kantone. Die Kantone regeln die Voraussetzungen und das Verfahren für die Erteilung dieser Bewilligung. Sie führen periodisch Betriebskontrollen durch.
1 Anyone drawing blood from persons for the purpose of transfusion or the manufacture of therapeutic products or for supply to a third party must possess an operating licence issued by the Agency.

4 Establishments such as hospitals which only stock blood or blood products must possess a cantonal operating licence. The cantons shall lay down the conditions and the procedure for granting this licence. They shall carry out periodical inspections.
