1 Fortpflanzungsverfahren dürfen nur angewendet werden, wenn das betroffene Paar nach hinreichender Information und Beratung schriftlich eingewilligt hat. Sind drei Behandlungszyklen ohne Erfolg geblieben, so ist eine erneute Einwilligung erforderlich; davor muss eine angemessene Bedenkfrist liegen.
2 Die schriftliche Einwilligung des Paares ist auch für das Reaktivieren von konservierten Embryonen und imprägnierten Eizellen erforderlich.
3 Besteht bei einem Fortpflanzungsverfahren das erhöhte Risiko einer Mehrlingsschwangerschaft, so darf das Verfahren nur durchgeführt werden, wenn das Paar auch mit der Geburt von Mehrlingen einverstanden ist.

1 Reproductive techniques may only be used if the couple concerned have given their written consent after being given sufficient information and counselling.. After three unsuccessful treatment cycles, renewed consent and a further period for reflection are required.
