Il sequestro di persona ed il rapimento sono puniti con una pena detentiva non inferiore ad un anno se il colpevole ha cercato di ottenere un riscatto,
ha trattato la vittima con crudeltà,
la privazione della libertà è durata più di dieci giorni, o
la salute della vittima è stata seriamente esposta a pericolo.

The penalty for false imprisonment and abduction is a custodial sentence of not less than one year,
if the offender attempts to obtain a ransom,
if he treats the victim with cruelty,
if the deprivation of liberty lasts for a period in excess of ten days or
if the health of the victim is seriously endangered.
