1. Chiunque sfrutta lo stato di bisogno o di dipendenza, l’inesperienza o la carente capacità di discernimento di una persona per farle dare o promettere a sé o ad altri, come corrispettivo di una prestazione, vantaggi pecuniari che sono in manifesta sproporzione economica con la propria prestazione,
chiunque acquisisce un credito usurario e lo aliena o lo fa valere,
è punito con una pena detentiva sino a cinque anni o con una pena pecuniaria.
2. Il colpevole è punito con una pena detentiva da uno a dieci anni se fa mestiere dell’usura.

Any person who for his own or another's financial gain or the promise of such gain, exploits the position of need, the dependence, the weakness of mind or character, the inexperience, or the foolishness of another person to obtain a payment or service which is clearly disproportionate to the consideration given in return,
any person who acquires a debt originating from an act of profiteering and sells or enforces the same,
shall be liable to a custodial sentence not exceeding five years or to a monetary penalty.
2. If the offender acts for commercial gain, he shall be liable to a custodial sentence of from one to ten years.
