1 Les juges ne peuvent être membres de l’Assemblée fédérale ou du Conseil fédéral ou juges à un tribunal fédéral.
2 Ils ne peuvent exercer aucune activité susceptible de nuire à l’exercice de leur fonction de juge, à l’indépendance du tribunal ou à sa réputation.
3 Ils ne peuvent exercer aucune fonction officielle pour un Etat étranger.
4 Les juges ordinaires ne peuvent représenter des tiers à titre professionnel devant les tribunaux.
5 Les juges ordinaires à plein temps ne peuvent exercer aucune fonction au service d’un canton ni exercer aucune autre activité lucrative. Ils ne peuvent pas non plus être membres de la direction, de l’administration, de l’organe de surveillance ou de l’organe de révision d’une entreprise commerciale.
1 The judges of the Court may not be members of the Federal Assembly, the Federal Council or a federal court.
2 They may not engage in any activity that impairs their ability to fulfil the duties of their office, their independence, or is injurious to the reputation of the Court.
3 They may not serve in any official capacity on behalf of a foreign state.
4 Permanent judges may not act as professional representatives of third parties before the Court.
5 Permanent judges on a full time basis may not hold office in a canton or engage in any other gainful activity. They may not be a member of the management board, board of directors, advisory board or serve as an auditor of a commercial enterprise.
