1 While the items are being withheld, the FOCBS is authorised to hand over or deliver to the applicant, on request, samples for examination or to permit the applicant to inspect the items being withheld.
2 The samples are collected and delivered at the expense of the applicant.
3 They must be returned after the examination has been carried out, if this is reasonable. If samples are retained by the applicant, they are subject to the provisions of customs legislation.

1 Durante la ritenzione degli oggetti, l’UDSC è abilitato, su domanda, a consegnare o inviare, per esame, campioni degli oggetti al richiedente o a consentirgli di ispezionare gli oggetti ritenuti.
2 Le spese per il prelievo e l’invio dei campioni sono a carico del richiedente.
3 Dopo l’esame, i campioni, sempre che ciò sia opportuno, devono essere restituiti. Se rimangono presso il richiedente, i campioni sottostanno alle disposizioni della legislazione doganale.
