1 The number of planimetric control points per km2 is determined by the needs of the updating work within the limit of the following benchmarks:

2 The point density for categories LFP1 and LFP2 must remain small and should not exceed 0.5 per km2.74
3 In areas with existing control point networks the point density must be brought up to the benchmarks of paragraph 1 above at the time of updating.

2 La densità dei punti deve essere mantenuta bassa e può raggiungere al massimo 0.5 PFP1 e PFP2 per chilometro quadrato.75
3 Nelle regioni ove la rete dei punti fissi è presente, la densità dei punti può essere adattata, in occasione della tenuta a giorno, ai valori indicativi di cui al capoverso 1.
