Art. 28b Preliminary examination of parliamentary initiatives in the Council

1 After a parliamentary initiative submitted by a member of the council or a group has been allocated to the committee for preliminary examination, the committee shall decide within a year whether it intends to endorse the initiative or propose that the Council should not endorse it.

2 If the committee proposes that the Council should endorse a parliamentary initiative, the Council shall consider the initiative at the latest in the second ordinary session following submission of the committee’s proposal.

3 If the Council of States endorses a parliamentary initiative, the Council shall consider the initiative no later than in the second ordinary session following the decision of the Council of States.

Art. 28b Esame preliminare delle iniziative parlamentari nella Camera

1 La commissione alla quale è stata assegnata per esame preliminare l’iniziativa parlamentare di un deputato o di un gruppo parlamentare decide entro un anno dall’assegnazione se dare seguito all’iniziativa o se proporre alla Camera di non darle seguito.

2 Se la commissione propone di dare seguito a un’iniziativa parlamentare, la Camera la esamina al più tardi nella seconda sessione ordinaria dopo la presentazione della proposta della Commissione.

3 Se il Consiglio degli Stati dà seguito a un’iniziativa parlamentare, la camera la esamina al più tardi nella seconda sessione ordinaria dopo la decisione del Consiglio degli Stati.
