1 If the owner of the melt product does not agree with the stamped fineness mark, he may request a second opinion from the Central Office.
2 The second-opinion test is carried out in accordance with Articles 100 and 101.
3 If the second opinion reveals that the fineness mark stamped on the melt material is incorrect, the Central Office shall return the article to the office that conducted the original determination of the fineness with an order to make the corresponding change.
4 If the determination of the fineness turns out to be correct, the person submitting the article shall be informed and receive the article against payment of the relevant fees.
5 If the fineness mark has to be corrected, the office that applied it bears the costs of the second opinion.

1 Si le détenteur des produits de la fonte n’est pas d’accord sur l’indication de titre insculpée, il peut demander une contre-expertise au bureau central.
2 Les art. 100 et 101 sont applicables à l’exécution de la contre-expertise.
3 Si la contre-expertise prouve que le titre insculpé sur le produit de la fonte est inexact, le bureau central renvoie la marchandise à celui qui a procédé au premier essai, en l’invitant à modifier l’indication de titre en conséquence.
4 Si le titre insculpé est reconnu exact, avis en est donné à celui qui a présenté les produits, et ceux-ci lui sont rendus contre paiement des taxes.
5 Lorsque l’indication de titre a dû être rectifiée, celui qui a procédé au premier essai supporte les frais de la contre-expertise.
