Art. 19 Statistical information

1 OFCOM produces statistics in cooperation with the Federal Statistical Office. These contain the information which the competent authorities require:

a.
for legislation and the application of the law;
b.
in order to acquire an overview of the market.

2 Broadcasters of Swiss programme services must submit the necessary information to OFCOM regularly.

3 OFCOM may make statistical results available to the public.

4 The Federal Council regulates the details; in particular, it lays down the principles regarding data collection, individual surveys, the use of the collected data and the publication of statistical results.

Art. 19 Données statistiques

1 L’OFCOM établit une statistique en collaboration avec l’Office fédéral de la statistique. Celle-ci contient les informations nécessaires aux autorités compétentes pour:

a.
légiférer et appliquer le droit;
b.
avoir une vue d’ensemble du marché.

2 Les diffuseurs de programmes suisses doivent périodiquement fournir les informations nécessaires à l’OFCOM.

3 L’OFCOM peut mettre des produits statistiques à la disposition du public.

4 Le Conseil fédéral règle les modalités; il arrête notamment les principes concernant la collecte des données, les relevés, l’utilisation des données collectées et la publication des produits statistiques.
