1 Genetically modified agricultural products or aids to production63 may only be produced, reared, imported, released or put into circulation if the requirements of this Act and in particular those of legislation on gene technology, environmental protection, animal protection and foodstuffs are met.
2 Regardless of any further provision, in particular in legislation on gene technology, environmental protection and animal protection, the Federal Council may provide for mandatory permits or other measures for the production and sale of such goods or aids to production.
63 Term in accordance with No II 3 of the FA of 19 March 2010, in force since 1 Aug. 2010 (AS 2010 3233; BBl 2009 5435). This amendment has been made throughout the text.
1 Gentechnisch veränderte landwirtschaftliche Erzeugnisse oder Produktionsmittel63 dürfen nur erzeugt, gezüchtet, eingeführt, freigesetzt oder in Verkehr gebracht werden, wenn die Anforderungen dieses Gesetzes sowie namentlich der Gentechnik‑, der Umweltschutz-, der Tierschutz- und der Lebensmittelgesetzgebung erfüllt sind.
2 Unabhängig von allfälligen weiteren Bestimmungen, namentlich der Gentechnik-, der Umweltschutz- und der Tierschutzgesetzgebung, kann der Bundesrat für die Produktion und den Absatz dieser Erzeugnisse oder Produktionsmittel eine Bewilligungspflicht oder andere Massnahmen vorsehen.
