Art. 88 Requirements for the handling and the location of radiation sources

The EDI, in consultation with ENSI, shall define the requirements for the handling and the location of radiation sources. In particular, it shall specify:

a.: structural measures and the basis for calculations in this regard;
b.: the requirements for irradiation, administration and relaxation rooms, and for rooms for equipment used for nuclear medicine examinations;
c.: the radiological protection measures for the care and accommodation of patients receiving therapy;
d.: the type of storage and the requirements for facilities for the storage of radioactive materials.

Art. 88 Anforderungen an den Umgang mit und den Standort von Strahlungsquellen

Das EDI regelt im Einvernehmen mit dem ENSI die Anforderungen an den Umgang mit und den Standort von Strahlungsquellen. Insbesondere legt es fest:

a.: die baulichen Massnahmen und die Grundlagen ihrer Berechnung;
b.: die Anforderungen an Bestrahlungs-, Applikations- und Ruheräume sowie an Räume für nuklearmedizinische Untersuchungsgeräte;
c.: die Strahlenschutzmassnahmen für die Betreuung und Stationierung von Therapiepatientinnen und -patienten;
d.: die Art der Lagerung und die Anforderung an die Lagerstelle radioaktiver Materialien.
