1 Riparian vegetation (reed and rush beds, alluvial zone vegetation and other natural riparian plant communities) may not be cleared or covered up, or otherwise destroyed.
2 Where conditions permit, the cantons shall ensure that riparian vegetation is established if none is present, or at least that conditions favourable to its development are created.66

2 Soweit es die Verhältnisse erlauben, sorgen die Kantone dafür, dass dort, wo sie fehlt, Ufervegetation angelegt wird oder zumindest die Voraussetzungen für deren Gedeihen geschaffen werden.66
