Art. 78 Solitary confinement

Solitary confinement in the form of uninterrupted separation from other prison inmates may only be ordered:

a.
for a maximum of one week at the start of the sentence in order to initiate the execution of the sentence;
b.
for the protection of the prison inmate or of third parties;
c.
as a disciplinary sanction;
d.109
to prevent other prison inmates from being influenced by ideas that may encourage them to carry out terrorist activities, provided there is specific evidence of such an influence.

Art. 78 Einzelhaft

Einzelhaft als ununterbrochene Trennung von den anderen Gefangenen darf nur angeordnet werden:

a.
bei Antritt der Strafe und zur Einleitung des Vollzugs für die Dauer von höchstens einer Woche;
b.
zum Schutz des Gefangenen oder Dritter;
c.
als Disziplinarsanktion;
d.109
zur Verhinderung der Beeinflussung von Mitgefangenen durch Gedankengut, das die Ausübung von terroristischen Aktivitäten begünstigen kann, sofern konkrete Anhaltspunkte auf eine solche Beeinflussung vorliegen.
