1 Any person who alters coins, paper money or bank notes in order to pass these off at a value higher than their true value shall be liable to a custodial sentence of at least six months and no more than five years.265
2 In particularly minor cases, the penalty is a custodial sentence not exceeding three years or a monetary penalty.

1 Wer Metallgeld, Papiergeld oder Banknoten verfälscht, um sie zu einem höhern Wert in Umlauf zu bringen, wird mit Freiheitsstrafe von sechs Monaten bis zu fünf Jahren bestraft.265
