1 The patent applicant must provide the IPI with written confirmation of the name of the inventor.14
2 The person named by the patent applicant shall be mentioned as the inventor in the Patent Register, in the publication of the patent application and in the grant of the patent, as well as in the patent specification.15
3 Paragraph 2 applies by analogy if a third party produces an enforceable judgment establishing that he and not the person named by the patent applicant is the inventor.

1 Der Patentbewerber hat dem IGE den Erfinder schriftlich zu nennen.14
2 Die vom Patentbewerber genannte Person wird im Patentregister, in der Veröffentlichung des Patentgesuchs und der Patenterteilung sowie in der Patentschrift als Erfinder aufgeführt.15
3 Absatz 2 ist entsprechend anwendbar, wenn ein Dritter ein vollstreckbares Urteil vorlegt, aus welchem hervorgeht, dass nicht die vom Patentbewerber genannte Person, sondern der Dritte der Erfinder ist.
