Art. 32 Advice and support
The Federal Chancellor:
- a.
- advises and supports the Federal President and the Federal Council in planning and coordination at government level;
- b.
- creates and supervises work plans and business rosters for the Federal President;
- c.34
- takes part in the preparation and conduct of Federal Council meetings and is responsible for keeping the minutes and preparing official copies of the decisions;
- cbis.35
- monitors on behalf of the Federal Council the progress of its business and of Federal Assembly mandates as well as the consistency of the content of business and mandates with the legislature plan, the Federal Council’s annual objectives and other federal plans, and may submit proposals to the Federal Council thereon in the event of new developments;

- ensures that a long-term and continual analysis is made of the situation and environment and provides the Federal Council with regular reports thereon;

- prepares the Federal Council’s reports to the Federal Assembly on the key aspects of government policy and the management of the Federal Council;
- e.
- advises the Federal President and the Federal Council in terms of the overall management of the Federal Administration and assumes supervisory roles;
- f.
- supports the Federal Council in its dealings with the Federal Assembly;

- advises and supports the Federal Council in its efforts to recognise and respond to crises in good time.
Art. 32 Beratung und Unterstützung
Der Bundeskanzler oder die Bundeskanzlerin:
- a.
- berät und unterstützt den Bundespräsidenten oder die Bundespräsidentin und den Bundesrat bei der Planung und Koordination auf Regierungsebene;
- b.
- entwirft für den Bundespräsidenten oder die Bundespräsidentin die Arbeits- und Geschäftspläne und überwacht deren Umsetzung;
- c.34
- wirkt bei der Vorbereitung und Durchführung der Verhandlungen des Bundesrates mit und ist für die Protokollierung sowie die Ausfertigung der Beschlüsse verantwortlich;
- cbis.35
- überwacht für den Bundesrat den Stand seiner Geschäfte und der Aufträge der Bundesversammlung sowie die inhaltliche Übereinstimmung der Geschäfte und Aufträge mit der Legislaturplanung, den Jahreszielen des Bundesrates sowie weiteren Planungen des Bundes und kann dem Bundesrat bei neuen Entwicklungen Antrag stellen;

- sorgt für eine langfristige und kontinuierliche Lage- und Umfeldanalyse und erstattet dem Bundesrat laufend Bericht darüber;
- d.
- bereitet in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Departementen die Berichte des Bundesrates an die Bundesversammlung über die Richtlinien der Regierungspolitik und über die Geschäftsführung des Bundesrates vor;
- e.
- berät den Bundespräsidenten oder die Bundespräsidentin und den Bundesrat bei der gesamtheitlichen Führung der Bundesverwaltung und übernimmt Aufsichtsfunktionen;
- f.
- unterstützt den Bundesrat im Verkehr mit der Bundesversammlung;
- g.37
- berät und unterstützt den Bundesrat bei der rechtzeitigen Erkennung und bei der Bewältigung von Krisen.
