1 Bewerber für das eidgenössische Edelmetallprüferdiplom müssen mindestens 20 Jahre alt sein und über einen guten Leumund verfügen. Der gute Leumund ist durch einen Privatauszug aus dem Strafregister-Informationssystem VOSTRA32 zu belegen.33
2 Der Bewerber muss bei einem eidgenössischen oder kantonalen Kontrollamt oder einem Handelsprüfer eine entsprechende Ausbildung durchlaufen und zudem die zentralen Kurse beim Zentralamt besucht haben.34
3 Das Eidgenössische Finanzdepartement regelt die Zulassungsbedingungen zur Ausbildung und erlässt Vorschriften über den Inhalt und die Dauer der Ausbildung und der zentralen Kurse sowie über die Prüfungsanforderungen.
4 Das Zentralamt legt den Lehrplan und die Programme der zentralen Kurse und der Prüfungen fest.

1 Candidates for the federal assayer’s diploma must be at least 20 years old and be of good standing. Good standing shall be proven by means of a standard private extract from the VOSTRA32 Register of Criminal Records Information System.33
2 The candidate must have undergone a corresponding training programme with a federal or cantonal Assay Office or trade assayer and must also have attended the centralised courses at the Central Office.34
3 The Federal Department of Finance shall regulate the entry conditions for the training programme and issue directives on the content and duration of the training and of the central courses as well as on the examination requirements.
4 The Central Office shall determine the curriculum and the programmes for the central courses and the examinations.
