1 Die Zulassung zu einer eidgenössisch anerkannten Bildung an einer höheren Fachschule setzt eine einschlägige berufliche Praxis voraus, soweit diese nicht in den Bildungsgang integriert ist.
2 Die vollzeitliche Bildung dauert inklusive Praktika mindestens zwei Jahre, die berufsbegleitende Bildung mindestens drei Jahre.
3 Das Eidgenössische Departement für Wirtschaft, Bildung und Forschung (WBF)11 stellt in Zusammenarbeit mit den zuständigen Organisationen für die eidgenössische Anerkennung der Bildungsgänge und Nachdiplomstudien an höheren Fachschulen Mindestvorschriften auf. Sie betreffen die Zulassungsbedingungen, Lerninhalte, Qualifikationsverfahren, Ausweise und Titel.
4 Die Kantone können selber Bildungsgänge anbieten.
5 Die Kantone üben die Aufsicht über die höheren Fachschulen aus, soweit sie eidgenössisch anerkannte Bildungsgänge anbieten.

1 Anyone wishing to attend a federally recognised study programme at a professional qualification institution must have sufficient professional experience, unless such professional experience is included in the course of study.
2 The full-time study programme shall last a minimum of two years, including traineeships at host companies. The part-time study programme shall last a minimum of three years.
3 The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER)11 shall work with professional organisations to establish the minimum requirements for federal recognition of study programmes and continuing education and training at professional education institutions. They shall establish the admission requirements, course content, qualification procedures, qualifications and titles.
4 The Cantons may offer their own courses of study.
5 The Cantons shall be responsible for overall supervision of professional education institutions that offer federally recognised study programmes.
