1 In einem Wechsel, der auf Sicht oder auf eine bestimmte Zeit nach Sicht lautet, kann der Aussteller bestimmen, dass die Wechselsumme zu verzinsen ist. Bei jedem anderen Wechsel gilt der Zinsvermerk als nicht geschrieben.
2 Der Zinsfuss ist im Wechsel anzugeben; fehlt diese Angabe, so gilt der Zinsvermerk als nicht geschrieben.
3 Die Zinsen laufen vom Tage der Ausstellung des Wechsels, sofern nicht ein anderer Tag bestimmt ist.
A person who signs a bill of exchange as a representative of another without being authorised so to do is himself liable on the bill and, if he honours the bill, has the same rights as the party he purported to represent would have. The same applies to a representative who exceeds his power of representation.
